Doggie Daycare and the Caucasian Shepherd Dog

This cannot be emphasized enough, the Caucasian Shepherd Dog is not a dog for daycares or dog parks. While positive exposure to other dogs is important, especially in puppyhood, this should be done on leash in controlled environments such as puppy class and obedience school. Doggie daycares have multiple dogs per employee, which works fine for more social breeds. However, with the CSD, the breed can be very particular about other animals, and needs to be managed one-on-one with other animals to ensure safe and positive interactions.
